  • Purchase Licks’n’Tricks workshops on the day(s) of your pass, available in multiple genres taught by great recording artists! Check out the Master Class pages for full information including videos of all the teachers.  If you buy a master class, a guitar check will be available to keep it safe during the day.

LOCATION, COURTESIES and MORE:

The main venue is the Grand Ballroom at the beachside Fess Parker resort, located off of the 101 exit 98 on Cabrillo Blvd.  Overall attendance is limited by the fire marshal – tickets may be available at the door, but entry is assured with pre-purchased ticket from this site.

You will receive your tickets & receipt from TIX. Attendees will be issued a non-transferable wristband at the venue which must be worn on all days and are non-replaceable if removed. As with all live events, tickets are non-refundable, but will try to accommodate change requests.

Master Classes are limited to 20 and last 75 minutes. Students may bring one instrument into the venue; an instrument check service will be available for those attending master classes. Personal instruments and cases are not allowed otherwise, and may not be brought into the exhibition hall.  This is NOT a show to to resell other instruments.

NO alcohol, illicit substances, strollers, large bags or food may be brought into the event. Food, drinks, CDs and books will be available for purchase all weekend long.  All public facilities in California are non-smoking; the facility is ADA accessible.

Daytime demo concerts featuring the luthiers’ instruments run all day long and are included with admission. Presenters are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances, but we’ll never leave you hanging!

This is an event for mature adults featuring valuable instruments. Children under 12 are not recommended, but are free of charge when accompanied by an adult with both “museum” and “pottery barn” rules applicable: touching only by adults with permission of the luthier; break it & you are responsible. Please do not wear metal belt buckles, zippers or other clothing that will scratch the instruments.
